ZOOM SESSIONS
All events except the Keynote Lecture will be held as Zoom Meetings. If you are a presenter, discussant, or chair, please plan to log on ten minutes early so we can greet you and give you co-hosting access. This will enable you to share your screen via Zoom.
Members of the audience will be admitted at 1 and 4 pm.
All panels will be moderated by a Rice graduate student. They will introduce themselves and the panelists. They will begin the panel, keep track of time, and host the Question and Answer period.
All workshops will be led by specialists from the Fondren Library at Rice. Each workshop will last for one hour.
The keynote lecture will be a Zoom Webinar.
REMINDERS FOR PRESENTERS
Have your paper ready by January 18th. Livia will write to all presenters on January 18th. Respond to her email with a copy of your paper (please use a pdf format). She will then forward your paper to your discussant. You will have fifteen minutes to present. This time limit is firm. Prepare a powerpoint in a second language and use it to present the main points of your paper so that everyone can follow your oral presentation.
All sessions will be recorded. The recorded sessions will be uploaded into this webpage.
REGISTRATION PROCESS
The program is available here.
By email, you have received the passcodes to register for all sessions. Please register right away for your panel. Then register for your Workshop. Next, register for the sessions you wish to hear. Scroll to the top and look at the top right of your screen for links to the registrations. Once you enter the password for a session, a Zoom link will open. After that you will be directed to the top of the webpage to repeat the process for all sessions. Zoom will send you the links for all sessions that you registered for. It is a good idea to save them to your google calendar.
The keynote lecture by Jorge Cañizares-Esguerra will be a Webinar, and it is our closing event on Thursday February 11th at 4 pm Houston time. Scroll to the top and look at the top right of your screen for the link to the registration.
We will be updating this website with all additional information that you need, so check back often!
